Caralene Robinson is Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer for VH1, a unit of Viacom Inc. and a leading provider of entertainment for pop culture millennials. She is a member of the senior leadership team overseeing brand, campaigns, creative, on-air, media, social, digital and events. Ms. Robinson directs an award winning group in support of series such as Love and Hip Hop, Mob Wives, Hit the Floor, Family Therapy and upcoming projects The Breaks, Satan's Sisters, and the return of America's Next Top Model. She has also led an array of initiatives focused against marketing evolution including multi platform marketing strategy, second screen engagement experiences and the launch of several apps and digital products.
Ms. Robinson began her career in packaged goods with both general market and multicultural leadership roles at Colgate-Palmolive and The Coca-Cola Company. Next, Ms. Robinson spent seven years working on brands such as Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile and Assurance Wireless. In her final role as Vice President of Brand Advertising, Ms. Robinson led marketing strategy and creative efforts for all Sprint brands.
Caralene has a Marketing BBA from Howard University and a double MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She is a graduate of the CTAM Executive Leadership program at Harvard University, and a pending graduate of the 2016 NAMIC Executive Leadership Development program at the Darden School at UVA.
In addition to various interests and community work, Ms. Robinson is also executive producer of the award winning 2012 fashion documentary Versailles ’73: American Runaway Revolution, which aired on Logo TV in September 2015.
