Hantz Foundation focuses on community transformation within one square mile of Detroit’s east side neighborhood. Through partnerships within the community, our goal is to connect students to high-quality education, resources, and career opportunities that are the stepping stones for future success.
The nonprofit sister company to Hantz Woodlands, Hantz Foundation was started by long-time Detroit resident, John Hantz, to address community needs beyond beautification efforts. In 2013 the Hantz Foundation was started to work hand-in-hand with school partners to create opportunities and pathways for college and career success. Passionate about the impact of education, in 2014 Lauren Hantz took over as president of Hantz Foundation. Meaningful change happens gradually and requires a long-term commitment—the Hantz Foundation focuses on just one square mile in order to be actively involved with our partners every step of the way.
